WIAA/WSSAAA Mentoring Program for Washington State Athletic Directors
The WIAA and WSSAAA have teamed up to offer Washington State Athletic Directors a ‘toolbox’ full of resources to assist in their professional duties. The WIAA/WSSAAA Toolbox website offers new and veteran ADs access to some of their best handouts, advice, spread sheets, and presentation documents so they do not have to re-invent these documents from scratch. Game day check lists, parent meeting presentations, and excel PO requisition forms are just a sample of the resources to assist you.
With the help of our member AD’s, WSSAAA hopes to continue adding to the toolbox, making the site more informative and keeping the site up-to-date for current and future use. If you have a great document, presentation, or video that would benefit colleagues, feel free to contribute. Please contact us with any additional resources.
The WIAA/WSSAAA Toolbox is one of many tools available to the Athletic Administrators in Washington.
In addition to the toolbox, we have an outstanding mentoring network available to our colleagues, state wide. If you are looking for assistance, advice, or helpful guidance, you can reach out to your District’s WSSAAA Mentor.
WSSAAA is a service driven organization, with the Annual WSSAAA Conference focused on the education and professional growth of athletic administrators statewide. Every AD, high school and middle school alike, should commit to their professional growth by attending this outstanding spring event.
A heart-felt thank you goes out to former Seattle AD and NIAAA and WSSAAA Hall of Fame Member, Barb Twardus, for her pioneering work in our profession. Barb, along with the assistance of District Directors Jim Piccolo and Tom Doyle, and WSSAAA Executive Director, Dave Tikker, collaborated and started the toolbox vision. Further credit goes to Retired ADs Dell Dittus and Stark Porter for their legwork in taking the vision and forming it into the online toolbox website. And continued thank you to all ADs, statewide, for their contributions, keeping this tool sharp and applicable.
