The responsibility for conducting a home athletic contest  is one which should be taken seriously by all high school athletic directors.  The decisions you make in key areas—facility preparation, game workers, supervisory personnel -  will directly impact the experience visiting teams and coaches will have, good or bad. Additionally, you will be judged by the public based upon the manner in which you host a visiting team for a contest. It is critical that your school, your athletic program, and high school athletics in general be seen in a positive light; one of the best ways to promote this is to effectively conduct home contests.
